Five students have been arrested for gang-raping a fellow student at Mpraeso Senior High School, while three others are still on the run.

Five students at Mpraeso Senior High School in the Eastern Region have been arrested for allegedly gang-raping a 16-year-old female student. Three other students involved in the incident are currently on the run.

The victim recounted her traumatic experience, explaining that she was on her way to the canteen with a friend to buy food when a male student called her over. As she approached him, seven other male students also walked towards them.

The victim stated that she is unaware of the conversation between the suspects and her friend, but she was left alone while the suspects forcibly had sex with her. The incident occurred on Sunday, and there was no one around to offer help.

The victim has undergone a medical examination and is seeking justice, demanding that the suspects face the full force of the law. The school's headmaster, James Affadu, confirmed the incident in an interview with Adom News.

Mr. Afadu stated that the disciplinary committee has terminated the employment of all eight boys involved and has referred the case to the police for further investigation and appropriate action.

Currently, the Nkwatia Divisional Police Command has not yet processed the suspects for prosecution.
