Police reports indicate that the victims of the East Legon accident were two girls, both aged 12.

The police have confirmed that the two victims who lost their lives in the East Legon accident last Saturday were 12-year-old girls. The girls were traveling in a Honda Acura with registration number GR 2542 - 23, along with three other individuals, when their vehicle was struck from behind by a white Jaguar with registration number GN 7801 - 20.

The Jaguar was driven by a 16-year-old, the son of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako of Alive Chapel International, which caused the Acura to collide with a wooden electric pole, leading to a fire that trapped the girls inside.

The Honda Acura was driven by Joseph Ackah, who, along with the two other occupants, survived the crash. Unfortunately, the two girls were burned beyond recognition due to the fire that erupted from the accident.

Police Arrest Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako and Son's Mother

On Tuesday, police arrested Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako of Alive Chapel International and the mother of his son, Mouha Amoako, due to their son's involvement in the East Legon accident. The 16-year-old, who was driving the white Jaguar, collided with the Honda Acura, resulting in the deaths of the two girls.

Both Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako and Mouha Amoako are currently assisting with the police investigation.

Authorities have determined that on October 12, 2024, the suspect driver, whose name is withheld, was operating the Jaguar SUV with registration number GN 7801 - 20, accompanied by one other passenger. He crashed into the Honda Acura, which had four occupants and was driven by Joseph Ackah.

Police investigations indicate that of the five individuals in the Honda Acura, three were rescued. Two of the rescued victims, who suffered minor injuries, were treated and discharged, while a third remains hospitalized.

The suspect driver and his passenger from the Jaguar were also rescued and are receiving medical care.
